Dear FABCYCLE Community,

I’m so excited to share something I’ve poured my heart and soul into and have been looking forward to sharing with you.

When I started FABCYCLE in 2017, I never could have imagined the incredible community we’d build together—one inspired by the shared belief that no material is truly waste. I saw so much beautiful fabric and valuable materials being discarded as “waste,” simply because there wasn’t an easy way for businesses and individuals to pass them on to someone who could see their value.

For me, it wasn’t just about reducing waste or promoting sustainability—it was personal. I believed these materials held incredible creative potential, and if we could connect them with the right community, they could find new life. And so, FABCYCLE was born.

Over the past seven years, together, we’ve made a difference. We’ve raised awareness about textile waste, given new homes to countless materials, and supported makers like you in making more sustainable choices. While there’s still so much work to be done, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created as a community.

Now, I’m thrilled to share the next chapter in this journey. FABCYCLE remains committed to providing sustainable materials and supporting our creative community. But over the past year, I’ve also been working on something close to my heart—a new app designed to support makers in a whole new way.

If you participated in our 2022 survey, or our follow-up survey this summer, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your feedback has been invaluable to shaping what I’m about to share.

I am beyond proud to introduce you to Sewjo (sewing-mojo).

Sewjo is still in development, but we’re getting ready to launch our beta soon. And I’d love for you to join us in shaping it into the tool that truly serves your creative needs.
