Every last Friday of the month, something special happens at FABCYCLE’s Flex Space—a room fills with laughter, the hum of shared stories, and the quiet focus of hands at work.

Makers of all kinds—sewists, designers, upcyclers, and textile enthusiasts—come together, not just to sew, but to connect.

Friday SEW-CIAL isn’t a class, a workshop, or a formal event. It’s a moment in time where we get to slow down, share our latest projects (or our frustrations with them!), swap materials, exchange knowledge, and simply be part of a community that understands the joy of making.

What is Friday SEW-CIAL?

Sometimes, we need a space where we can share what we’re working on, talk about our creative struggles, or just sit among like-minded people who get it.

There’s no pressure. No expectations. Just an open, welcoming space for people who love textiles and making.

What to Expect

✔️ Bring Your Projects – UFOs (Unfinished Objects), WIPs (Works in Progress), or even just an idea in your head—we’d love to see it!

✔️ Material Swap Table – Have fabric, patterns, notions, or tools you no longer need? Bring them to share, and maybe you’ll find something new in return. Plus, FABCYCLE always has a table with free materials available, courtesy of our textile reuse initiatives! ✂️♻️

✔️ Good Conversations – Whether you want to chat about garment sewing, quilting, upcycling, or just life, there’s always something to talk about.

✔️ A Supportive Space – Ask questions, get advice, or simply enjoy the company of fellow creatives.

💡 No need to RSVP, no fees, no expectations—just bring yourself and whatever you feel like working on.

Who is Friday SEW-CIAL For?

Anyone who loves making. Whether you sew professionally, just picked up a needle for the first time, or you’re simply curious about sewing or making, you’re welcome here. It’s a place to find encouragement, learn from each other, and celebrate the beauty of handmade things.
