Description

Receive a 5 Gallon bucket worth surprise box of pre-cut fabrics from the "Treasure Cart".

If you're in Vancouver area, visit our ReUSE Centre and fill up a 5 Gallon bucket with fabrics of your choice from the Treasure Cart.

If you're not able to visit in person, we'll fill the 5 Gallon bucket for you.

October 18 to 31 at 11:59pm PS.

Fibre Content

The fabrics on the Treasure Cart have been manually curated and they contain a marvellous and versatile selection of wovens, knits, wool, bamboo, cotton and other wonderful and mysterious selection of fabrics.

Some of the fabrics will have odd shapes.

Unfortunately, we're not able to guarantee which fabrics you will receive but if you have any special requests, please message us below (before purchasing).

Treasure Cart

If you've visited our ReUSE Centre in Vancouver, you surely seen the big wooden cart (aka "Treasure Cart") filled with fabrics and other strange and wonderful things.

The fabrics on the Treasure Cart are special.

When we collect the fabric scraps and offcuts from our business partners (fashion designers and factories), we manually sort and choose which pieces we think can be reused by other creatives. It's slow and laborious work but it allows us to dream how these beautiful fabrics can be used by someone else, instead of becoming waste.

With time, we accumulated quite a lot of these beautiful fabrics and it's time to find them a new home.

What is a Bundle?

A bundle is a pre-cut fabric that comes as is. Often, it is a unique piece of fabric that we only have one size of.

What is a Roll?

Our fabric is sold in units of 1/2 Meter (50cm) increments.

When you choose to purchase 3 units (of 1/2 meter) for example, we'll cut 1.5 metres of a continuous cut.

How do we know what's the fabric content?

Our fabric is collected from industry partners and community members, so we often don't receive any information on the fabric content. However, our team of fabric specialists make an effort to best identify the fabric we receive through using the burn test method and relying on their accumulated textile expertise. For this reason, all fabric content is listed as estimated unless the content is specifically stated with percentages.

If you've found an error on the listed fibre content, please give us a shout so we can look into it promptly and correct it if needed.

Natural & Synthetic Blends

Since we don't know the exact fabric content of the textile, it would be safe to wash in cold and gentle wash. You can always wash a sample piece before using the final textile on your product. Hand or machine wash cold with similar colours, hang to dry, iron low temperature.

Specialty Fabrics: Silk, Wool, Embroidery

Your order will be prepared for shipping or pickup within 3-5 business days.

We ship all over North America. For orders in Canada we ship with Canada Post, ICS, UPS or Purolator and usually with USPS to the US.

As soon as your order is fulfilled, you'll receive an email confirmation with tracking number of your order.

PO Boxes - If your shipping address is a PO Box, please choose ONLY Canada Post (in Canada) or USPS (in US). If you choose another courier for a PO box address (like UPS/ICS/Purolator), your package may be returned and additional shipping charges will encounter.

How Shipping is Calculated?

We calculate shipping based on the volume of the order and the distance to your address.

To get a quote for the shipping, please add the products you'd like to ship to the shopping cart and enter your address. The cart will calculate the shipping rate based on the volume of the products you've chosen and the distance to where the package is going.

Free shipping

We offer free shipping for orders (before taxes and after a discount has been applied) over $120 in Canada and over $150 (CAD) to Canadian Territories and the USA

Please note that Gift Cards are considered a form of payment and not a product. So if you add a gift card to your order, it will not consider as a product for the purpose of reaching the $120 to get free shipping.

In rare occasions when you qualify for free shipping but the shipping charge is higher than 30% off the value of your order, there will be an additional charge for the difference in shipping.

Can you ship Letter-mail?

We don't usually offer letter mail however if you order something very light (under 500 grams) and that can fit in an envelope, we might be able to accommodate. Contact us to discuss best options.

My order hasn't arrived

If your order doesn't arrive within reasonable time, please contact us. Canada Post, UPS and USPS are experiencing significant delays, so please be aware that packages sometimes take longer than usual to arrive and we'll do our best to help get things moving as much as we can on our end.

Packaging

We're all about reuse and recycling and we try to minimize our environmental impact by reusing existing packaging from our neighbouring businesses or any other sustainable packaging like compo-stable or biodegradable mailers.

You'll likely receive a box with various packaging that has varied branding on it or a mailer that is compo-stable or biodegradable.

*Free Scraps Limit for Orders that Qualify for Free Shipping

When you add Free Scraps to an order that qualifies for Free Shipping, we're able to add up to 1 Large Free Scraps per order without any extra shipping charges.

If you'd like to receive more that 1 large free scraps on a Free Shipping order, there will be an additional charge for shipping free scraps. Please message us to send you an adjusted invoice.
